The Geospatial Analytics for International Development Symposium and Workshop (Geo4Dev) is a two-day symposium and workshop focused on the application of remote sensing and geospatial analysis to address issues of poverty, sustainable development, urbanization, climate change and economic growth in developing countries. The event aims to expand the reach of remote sensing to faculty, graduate students, implementers, donors, and tech companies involved in research on international development.

Day 1 will launch with a symposium showcasing scientific presentations and posters form leading researchers utilizing geospatial analytics from a multitude of disciplines. The Geo4Dev Symposium solicited papers to be presented at the event through an open call. Selected papers are eligible for an opportunity to submit to Development Engineering: The Journal of Engineering in Economic Development.

Development Engineering will be hosting a cocktail reception at the conclusion of Geo4Dev's Day 1 Symposium.

Day 2 will feature a geospatial data workshop, providing introductory training from academics and tech-sector partners in the use of new tools, data, and platforms for geospatial analytics.
